Ramanan Calls On Malaysians To Embrace 67th National Day Theme

 

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 30 (Bernama) -- Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk R. Ramanan has called on all Malaysians to understand and embrace the 67th National Day theme ‘Malaysia MADANI: Jiwa Merdeka’, particularly in the context of unity.

He said the annual celebration of independence organised every year should be geared towards understanding and appreciating national unity.

“The MADANI government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, prioritises unity as its core principle.

“Unity has made the country increasingly stable and strong. Racial unity is the main pillar of ‘Negaraku Malaysia’,’ he said in a Facebook post today.

Ramanan also reminded the people to always remain vigilant in facing all obstacles and challenges to ensure that racial unity remains the primary bastion of the nation’s strength.

He said that, as one large family, the people must work together to realise the nation’s vision and mission for the country’s well-being, prosperity, and excellence.

“This is our collective responsibility. As the saying goes bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kita roboh,” he said, adding that the unity achieved so far has positioned Malaysia as a distinguished, successful, and glorious nation.
